David Carretta is one of the best techno meets EBM producers. His new podcast 2:move is out and features one of my tracks (Take this Step) among about 15 other really interesting dancefloor movers.
“Carretta captivates the crowd with some of the best synth lines money can buy. He really seems to lust for syncopation.” – Zombee (via Discogs)

The record label The Seed is having a remix contest for my song Automatic. The song which is about guns was originally released in 2007 on my album Attack Decay. It’s such a strong dance track I still play it live.

If you asked me what is the most important website to get EBM, goth, synthpop and New Wave news hands down I would say Side-Line. I love when I am mentioned there and they just reviewed my latest album Fire Funmania (link). I am extremely glad they like it. It took me about 18 months to create the songs and even though the initial release came out a month ago the party is only getting started. The cassette, limited German CD and 12″ and merchandise are all forthcoming. I also didn’t forget to let you know the behind the scenes production and song writing wise. I will start tomorrow with “Enter the Sex Game” so stay tuned.
“The songs remain simple, but damn efficient. The Horrorist is a sound wizard confirming his genius on “Starving For You”. The Horrorist has deployed his entire battery of electronic creativity which resulted in a new fascinating and diversified opus.” – Side-Line Magazine

The Badgers are a duo from Strasbourg, France. I really liked the mix above which includes my (The Horrorist) track Incredible.
“We’re both huge fans of fantasy and horror cinema and this is our biggest influence. Our heroes are John Carpenter, Danny Elfman , Jerry Goldsmith , Fabio Frizzi , Christopher Young , … We always made music with lots of images in my head, as if we could not help but imagine a scene from a movie.” – disordance.net

My song Heart of Steel (Fire Funmania) will appear on a new compilation titled Inside the Volcano. Complete Control Records from Stockholm, Sweden are doing the fantastic release with 24 electronic body music tracks on it. One of the guys behind CCP, Anders Karlsson will also be performing with myself and Absolute Body Control at the Kalabalik Festival in Växo, Sweden this August 15/16th. I love the artwork on this one! 2CD available this March.
“A compilation where young, hot, electro punk acts like Schwefelgelb, Agent Side Grinder and Petra Flurr + Modernista demonstrate how to take a cue from old school influences and still sound totally fresh and thrilling. Industrial legends Portion Control, Ike Yard and Gerechtigkeits Liga refused to follow the herd when they started out at the dawn of the 1980s. They still do, and they remain as relevant and exciting as ever. Techno heroes Thomas P Heckmann, The Horrorist and Adriano Canzian have all contributed crushing dance tracks where old school EBM and furious techno fuse seamlessly. Also represented on Inside The Volcano is the new breed of leftfield dance music with mind blowing tracks from Equitant, Friherren, Diamond Skull District and K-Nitrate.” – ccproductions.org

“I’m pretty sure this is the most deranged, insane, sexually charged album I’ve heard in a long time. I want to dance and throw punches at the same time.” – djdiamondkutz (via iTunes)

Here’s a sample of a remix I did for Al Ferox. He’s a big name in the techno world and does the labels Kobayashi Recordings and Dancefloor Killers. Other remixers for the I Love Satan EP will be RadicalG and Jonathann Cast. The kick, snare and hihat are the Tiptop Audio modular drums. The snare is going through a Plague Bearer. The toms fills are from the UVI Emulation II plug-in. The main synth is Native Instrument’s Razor sequenced by an Audiorealism ABL. I also used a lot of plug-ins for effects including PSP N2O, Sugar-Bytes Tornado and reverbs from Audio Damage and Valhalla DSP. The full EP will be available soon!
